Wild Wing Cafe – Home of Bobby Lutz Live and 49er TV Viewing Parties

Charlotte 49ers basketball coach Bobby Lutz’s weekly radio show will be held this season at the Wild Wing Café on 9539 Pinnacle Drive off Mallard Creek Boulevard in the University City area. The show will be carried live on WFNZ-AM 610 “The Fan” or WBCN-AM 1660 “America’s Talk” on Thursdays from 7-8 pm beginning November 12th and running through March with postseason plans to be announced. The show includes open dialogue with Coach Lutz where he will take live calls and questions from the audience. Each week a 49er player appears for a segment on the show.

The first official function with Wild Wing Café is Wednesday, November 4th with a 49er Hoops tip-off party for the season, which begins with an exhibition game with the 49ers hosting Johnson C. Smith the next evening.

Stout (Operations Manager/Program Director, WSOC-FM, WFNZ-AM, WBCN-AM) for working the show into their new line-up and format. We hope to have a loyal and enthusiastic group of Charlotte 49er fans on hand each night.”

“I am looking forward joining the staff on Thursdays at Wild Wing Café for the show and visiting with the 49er fans throughout the year. This is a fun format for me,” said Bobby Lutz, in his 12th season as coach of his alma mater. “I am glad to have this media format to exchange dialogue with our fans. See you at Wild Wing Café.”

Said Kiran Navare, owner - operator of this Wild Wing Café location, “We are excited to be hosting Coach Lutz and the show. We want to be a big part of college basketball in the area. I grew up a big A-10 fan and pull for St. Joe’s, but the 49ers are my team and we’ll have a lot of fun this year. Stay tuned for the 49er specials we will feature for Lutz Live and the TV parties.”

All of the Charlotte 49ers men’s basketball games will be carried live on WBCN 1660-AM this season. Matt Swierad will return for his 9th season as play-by-play voice of the 49ers and will also serve as host of “Lutz LIVE” for the 8th year.
